Ask me a fandom, and I will tell you:

+ OTP
+ Runner-up
+ Honorable mention(s)
+ Crack pairing(s)
+ Ship everyone else seems to like, but I don't

My Fandoms (let's see if I don't leave anything out): HIMYM, Superman/Smallville/Lois&Clark: TNAOS (too many shows/movies for the same thing!), Justice League, The Big Bang Theory, Harry Potter, The West Wing, Glee, Castle, Dollhouse, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Dr. Horrible, Jane Austen lit/film adaptations (pick a book, any book), and Two of a Kind

Thing I just realized: I can see Fenway from my cubicle! Whee!

Probably shouldn't have, but your comment about Fenway reminded me of "I can see Russia from my house!" =P

Anyway. I'll be super obvious and go for HIMYM.

Hehe, yeah, that totally means I know all there is to know about professional sports, right? ;)

OTP: Barney/Robin. I can't help it! I just find their story so compelling, and I think there's so much to be mined out of their personalities and how they mesh together. Plus, there's SO MUCH good fic out there for these two, it would blow my past-13-year-old-fic-reading mind.

Runner Up: I freaking and totally love Lily and Marshall, even though they are a less annoying version of my best friend and her boyfriend (gasp! can it be true? yes. yes it can). Episodes like "Three Days of Snow" just turn me to mush. I really love how they are a couple with real problems and stay together without fizzling or causing a lot of drama (first/second season aside), and yet they're funny!

Honorable Mentions: Ted/Mother - I want to see more clues, and I wish they were able to keep the kids interacting without showing that they age. Alas. But I seriously love the episodes that remind us that this is what the show is about.
I also have to give a shoutout to MacLendy, our Carl/Wendy ship that Mezz was so kind as to jumpstart. I really like the idea of them, though they've only been in the same room... twice? on the show, and the only sort-of interaction between the two that we've seen was them standing in line at Mark's wake.

Crack Pairing: Ted/Pineapple :)

Ship everyone else seems to like, but I don't: Hrm... I'm not a big fan of Lily/anyone other than Marshall. Like Marshall, the thought of breaking marriage vows makes me sad, which cancels out the other enjoyment I'd get out of it. I generally stick to canon pairings, with the exception of MacLendy, and that's probably because I don't like being disappointed by the writers when something I ship doesn't happen or if it isn't supported. I do, however, still read some AU if the plot looks compelling enough.

I was about to spaz that I've WRITTEN Ted/Pineapple before, but then I checked the entry and saw you already knew about that. =) It's a nice choice for a crack pairing, no?

And I'm totally in agreement about Lily/anyone-but-Marshall. It's fun to read Lily/Barney as long as you don't think about Marshall, but after reading Lark's fic I can't read that pairing anymore. Am also completely in agreement about Ted/Mother. I want him to be happy and find true love, and I don't want to wait for the end of the series for him to be that way!

Hee! I really did enjoy your Ted/Pineapple fic. Did you ever see my Pineapple fic? I originally posted it on the HIM_TBBT100 comm, but I also reposted on my fic comm. Take a look? I love that crack :)

Harry Potter

OTP: Ron/Hermione. I love them to bits, and I love the way their relationship developed over the seven books. I was really really happy with how they were dealt with in the seventh book, and there are so many aspects about them that just make sense. I love it :)

Runner-Up: I like Lupin/Tonks, because after reading some really epic fic back in either 1999 or 2000, I really just wanted Lupin to find someone to love. And Tonks I think was a great choice to complement that.

Honorable Mention: I totally called Ron/Lavender when I first read PoA, and so I was full of glee when it happened in HBP. I also enjoy that the movie portrayed Lavender basically as the poor man's Hermione. I got a kick out of that.

I'd also be interested to see some play out of Dumbledore/Grindlewald, because that really fascinates me. Was it a full on relationship, or was it more Greek platonic love in style? I want to know!

And I also think Fleur/Bill is kind of adorable, even though that also kind of came out of nowhere.

Crack Pairing: Dobby/Winky... I don't really want to think about how house elves do it though. Also, Sir Cadogan and The Fat Lady ;)

Ships everyone else seems to like, but I don't: Like Phoe, I'm not really a fan of Harry/Ginny. I mean, I think she's alright, but I think JK really pushed the whole guys totally end up with girls who are like their moms thing, which I think it kind of weird. Also, it seems that fandom likes to portray Ginny as this sexually deviant bad girl, which also kind of skeeves me out, considering there's no basis for that in canon, and essentially she's Harry's MOM.

ALSO: Harry/Hermione *points to icon* - I loved that scene in DH where Ron has to face his fears about them. Since I started reading/writing HP fanfic online in 1999, there was a lot of H/Hr shipping (and I admittedly wrote one fic including this, but I jumped ship once I read GoF since it was plain to see who would work out best with whom at that point), but after GoF there really was no excuse, especially considering how rabid those fans were. It was kind of nuts.

I'm also not a fan of the m/m or student/professor pairings... it's just weird to me, just because I really try to just adhere to canon, and there is a really ethically grey area with the whole student/professor thing that I don't want to explore. That being said, maybe I do need to expand my interests into more AU directions, but I won't in these venues. They just ain't my thing.

Also, I still think George/Angelina is weird, considering Fred dated Angelina for a period of time. :/

OTP: Josh/Donna, hands down. I've loved seeing their relationship develop, and "The Cold"... oh how wonderful that was. They always played so well off each other! And I love that Donna wasn't even supposed to be a recurring character, but Aaron Sorkin saw the chemistry between Bradley and Janelle and decided to make her character more prominent. &hearts

Runner Up: CJ/Danny - the goldfish, the difficulties of their relationship, how adorable Danny was - all reasons why I love those two.

Honorable Mentions: Charlie/Zoey - I just think they're adorable, and I like that they treated the implications of their relationship seriously (with some fun though!).

Sam/Ainsley, even though there wasn't really much to them romantically, I loved them playing off each other and how Ainsley represented an intelligent opposition to the rest of the staff, instead of being played out as someone who was ignorant or uncaring.

Crack Pairing: Leo/Annabeth... it could happen! I just kind of love her going, "You're smirking!" And Kristin Chenoweth is just win in general.

Ships everyone else seems to like, but I don't: CJ/Toby? What's up with that? I don't think they would work well together at all.

OMG, you are like my West Wing ship twin.

Josh and Donna are just... I can't even put it into words. And Aaron Sorkin! When I heard that I fell in love with him a little bit more (that, and the fact that he dated the Cheno). Janelle is just awesome. I firmly believe that her and Bradley were having an affair, and that's why he's divorcing his wife (ok, so it's far fetched. But still.).

CJ/Danny! Gail is like their love child. I loved the ending of the show, just for their little storyline.

Charlie/Zoey. Well, I never really got into them, but I did think they were cute.

Sam and Ainsley were amazing. I wish there had been more about them. All of their interactions were so sweet, and you're right, they played off each other very well.

LEO/ANNABETH!!!! OMG, I swear I thought I was the only crazy person that loved them! I bawled when John Spencer died, and in turn, Leo. Did you know that they were actually planning to hook them up (there were indications they already were together when he died - then again, I read far too into things)? But I think that they would have been adorable. Hell, they already were! They almost beat out Josh/Donna for my OTP, but... well seriously, it's Josh and Donna!

As for CJ/Toby... eh. They were too much like brother and sister for me to ever feel comfortable with any vibes between them.

Dollhouse

(and if I can ask more than one: Glee and/or BBT)

Dollhouse

And if no one else requests it, I'll do the others too :)

OTP: Victor/Sierra. I'm very interested to see where this goes!

Runner-up: Topher/Claire... the premiere and the way they played it was so compelling. I'm not sure they'd make it actually happen (she can't stand the smell of him!?), but it's damn good television anyway.

Honorable mentions: Topher/Ivy. Basically, I just want someone on Topher's level that he can be with. Because he's such a brain that I think he feels isolated. Poor guy.

Crack pairing(s): Topher/Sierra-as-smartypants-girl-in-that-one-ep, because that's just kind of sad that he has to have a doll. Basically any pairing including a doll is kind of cracky and just a bit off :/

Ship everyone else seems to like, but I don't: Ballard/Echo - CREEPTASTIC! I hope the writers come down on that, because Ballard skeeves me out.

Hum yeah. Ballard is totally creepy on the Caroline front. It would completely CREEP ME OUT if something happened with them.

I'm really excited to see what happens with Victor/Sierra. I'm also REALLY apprehensive. I'm kind of scared of what Adelle might/will do... But then again, they could just be allowed to happen while everyone studies them. The fact that they're basically both in that doll state both bothers and fascinates me.

I also LOVE Topher and Sierra as gaming girl. That was so cute that my heart melted for Topher. Poor boy! I would absolutely love for Topher to end up with someone. And I'm also very interested in the Topher/Claire front. The "seduction" scene was very well played, I thought. But yeah, the whole programming to not be able to stand the smell of him is really weird. However, as much as I want Topher to end up with someone (and that's A LOT!!!) I can't see the Ivy pairing. (Though maybe b/c every time I see her I think She's the mole in NCIS! The mole!) NCIS aside, I don't see it.

But in terms of doll pairings, I liked November/Ballard. I thought they were pretty cute. :)

Crack pair: Boyd and Adelle. They're both just made of steel and I feel that they're the one's that can stand with/against each other. Ignoring their ideological differences, the sex would just be so hot.
