It is really difficult to pick a favorite song, but for the past many months it's been "Endless Night" from The Lion King Original Broadway Cast soundtrack. I discovered the musical last summer, and I fell in love with this song. I had already loved the score maybe more than the movie's lyrical songs already, so when this part of the score was made into a song, I was absolutely floored. Jason Raize had such a beautifully powerful voice, and the emotion in it is so compelling. It's so tragic that he wasn't around much longer - I feel like he had so much more to give to the world. "Shadowland" is also a very good piece of score turned song in the musical, but "Endless Night" I have listened to on repeat because I love listening to it, as well as in a therapeutic manner to calm down when I've been nervous or anxious. So that's my speech on this song. Just absolutely beautiful. Have a listen (plus bonus "He Lives In You")!

Bottom line: I am SO excited to see "The Lion King" next month. SO. EXCITED.
Also, a random thought: Today I had such a bad case of "slippy sock" from that Ted/Victoria fic by
dipenates Anyway, it made me think of that fic. Good times. :)
